Are you a new family to the Richmond community? Are you considering sending your child to Richmond Community Schools? Would you like a tour of the facility to look at the programs Richmond Community Schools has to offer your child? Then you are invited to join Superintendent Walmsley and the building administrators for a tour of our building(s) every Tuesday at 10 o'clock.
You will receive a personal tour of our facilities, information about programming options for your child and witness first-hand the quality educational programs Richmond Community Schools has to offer you and your child. And when the tour is over, you even have the option to enjoy a FREE lunch in the lunch room and taste the nutritious meals our students enjoy. In addition, we will offer your child an opportunity to “shadow” the rest of the day with one of our students to see the school from their perspective.
Richmond Community Schools is the small-town, family-oriented school district you are looking. Our focus is guaranteeing learning for all students! If you would like to participate in Richmond Community Schools’ Tours on Tuesday at Ten, CLICK HERE.
In prior school years, students in grades 3-8 were administered the MEAP test over a two week period in October. This school year, students will complete the new M-STEP assessment in an online format within a three-week testing window, established by the State of Michigan, during April through early June. During this three-week window, students will not be testing every day, all day.
The M-STEP includes assessments designed by the Michigan Department of Education to effectively measure academic growth for today’s students. English language arts (including reading, writing, and listening) and mathematics will be assessed in grades 3-8 and 11, science in grades 4, 7, and 11, and social studies in grades 5, 8, and 11.
